I am so glad that Pamela’s story of Aunt Birdie’s pear tree was posted. I am pretty sure that the tree is down on Stimpson Road in Bumpus Mills at the place where their old house was. Most of the children of Elijah and Sennie Page and some of the grandchildren were born in that old place that is gone now. My mother was born there. Uncle EL was born in that old house, spent his life there and died in the same house. The house is gone now and the land was sold to someone else, but I am glad that there is still something there to keep the memory of the generations of our family that lived there.
Just out side of FT. Henry Their was big dug out place you could pick up pieces of iron they away told me it was a iron ore mine After this story i need to walk back in the woods and in time and look Thanks for Potnecknews .com
